Gifts make biking better

Bike at Illinois has a vision for a growing and more vibrant bicycle culture at the University of Illinois and in Champaign & Urbana. When more people use bikes for transportation our community gets healthier, safer, less congested, and more sustainable.

We know that by improving biking infrastructure and providing more bike amenities on campus makes biking more comfortable and safer, removing barriers that keep drivers from becoming cyclists. Your gifts will help Bike at Illinois accelerate our efforts to make our campus more bikeable.

To donate in support of the Campus Bicycle Plan, use the link below and reference Campus Bicycle Plan Implementation and Mission Fund (11338548) in the Gift Designation section.

You can give one time or help us plan for the future and set-up recurring donation. Your donation could support the following projects:

Bikeway Facilities

New projects to improve the pedestrian and bicycle experience are available and need funding for new bicycle routes and reduced car access across campus. These projects could include:

  • Off street bike path
  • Shared-Use or Multi-Use path
  • Sidewalk improvement projects
  • Repair and maintenance of bike paths, shared-use paths, and sidewalks

Covered Bike Parking or Bike Shelters

By adding covered, weather-resistant, bike storage to campus, more students will be encouraged to bring their bicycles to school because there would be less threat of damage from winter weather.

Donor gifts are truly transformative, and we are grateful for your support. Remember, it all adds up!
